The Fast Seventies was created in 2012 as NK GT & TC, abbreviated NKGTTC: Dutch Championship for Historic Touring Cars and GTs from 1966 to 1981. The name Fast Seventies was adopted in 2024.
The Fast Seventies race “like then”, with race cars built according to historic FIA rules (Annex K), but also with cars that have an illustrious history or famous drivers.
Fanatical and friendly
The most important thing is that it is real competition, with respect for each other and the material. This results in a beautiful and fanatical battle between Porsches, Fords, Minis, BMWs, Alfas, but also rarer brands such as Davrian, Datsun, Ford Barracuda, Lotus, etc.
Besides the job, there is fun. Racers share their experiences, tell great stories, enjoy other races at historic events, admire the beautiful locations, or just have a good conversation.
Different racing classes
Within the Fast Seventies, there are different racing classes, which ensures fair and exciting competition between similar cars. There are three main categories based on three FIA periods. Within these main groups, there are subclasses divided by engine capacity. You can read the exact layout of divisions and classes in our class rules on our rules page.
We also have a Non-Championship class, where we (selectively) allow cars that do not comply with FIA Annex K but are in the spirit of the class or event. These cars are classified separately, so we see a great competition there too.
With the fact that quite a few drivers are seriously competing for the Dutch Championship, every season is exciting.
Although most drivers come from the Netherlands and Belgium, Germans, English, French, Danes, Swedes, Finns and Australians are also part of our race weekends.
Slicks and rain tires are used for cars from 1972, but the 1966-1971 group runs on profile tires (semi slicks are also allowed).
Combined with the variety of cars that characterize the Fast Seventies, this guarantees a lot of excitement, both in dry weather and in the rain, when the cards are shuffled again.
Do you dream of getting behind the wheel and experiencing the thrill of racing yourself? At Fast Seventies, we offer you the unique opportunity to participate in our exciting events. Whether you're an experienced driver or an enthusiastic beginner, you can relive the thrill of '70s racing with us.
